Feed the Future and the Innovation Lab for Food Security Policy are collaborating with a number of partners to develop a practitioners’ guidebook, which links capacity development to agricultural innovation systems, including aquaculture and fisheries. The guidebook is expected to help practitioners integrate capacity-development activities into the design and implementation of long-term efforts to strengthen agricultural innovation systems and value chains. It will assist in mapping innovation systems, creating a theory of change, diagnosing challenges, and pinpointing how different capacity-development tools and approaches can help address those challenges.

The Fish Innovation Lab is collaborating with the guidebook development team to use the Nigeria Quick Start project as a case study, which will be highlighted in the guidebook. The case study will be developed through a series of steps, including an in-country field activity in September.
